BEGIN YOUR Therapy JOURNEY

Work with Me

I practice a relational approach to therapy, and therefore place great importance on creating a safe and trusting relationship in which you are free to express yourself.

I find great value in uncovering your inner narrative and  how the words and thoughts you have about yourself impact your feelings and experiences.

I also emphasize exploring your past and discovering the messages (overt or covert) that you received, whether from family, important figures, or society as a whole,  that impact the way we think about ourselves and how we show up in the world.

I work with you to discover what your goals are for therapy, but overall I strive to help you feel empowered.

How will I know if we are a good fit?

You will not know until we get started. Our relationship will be built on continuous reflection and communication about what is working for you, and how we can move forward seamlessly in our therapy together. I encourage you to be honest with me and yourself in self-reflection, and it is very important that you feel in control of your therapy.

I believe in the importance of your experience and together I will invite you to help me know how best to work with you. Our relationship will depend on you feeling comfortable with me and I place great importance on that trust.

Contact me to schedule a consultation and we can see if you feel like we might be a good fit, and if I’m not, I’ll do my best to point you to other resources that might be helpful.

If we do work together, our relationship will take time but I aim for it to be built on continuous reflection and communication about what is and isn’t working for you. I encourage you to be honest with me and yourself in self-reflection. I believe in the importance of your experience and I will invite you to help me understand what you need.

Our relationship will depend entirely on you feeling comfortable with me and I place that trust above all.

When should you seek therapy?

Listen to your instincts. If you find yourself wondering if therapy could be helpful, odds are that it could be!

If you finds yourself feeling down, experiencing frequent worry or stress, struggling to concentrate or sleep, re-experiencing trauma, feeling disconnected from those around you or struggling to build trust, it can be helpful to have a judgment-free place to work through these things.
